Air-Go integrates Inertial Navigation Systems, magnetometer, motion sensors (accelerometers) and rotation sensors (gyroscopes) to continuously calculate via dead reckoning the position, orientation, and velocity (direction and speed of movement) of a tracking asset.
An Inertial Navigation system measures acceleration and angular velocity therefore applications can exploit motion analysis. It is composed of accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers. Accelerometers sensor measures linear acceleration in 3d axis, the gyroscope measures the angular velocity moves and magnetometers provide information about the magnetic north. With these three sensors it is possible to study the movement of the entire inertial sensor in the plane. The position calculation includes following predefined routes on roads, removed from the noise of movement current positioning systems.
